Dry shopping

An installation where the visitor is led blindfolded into the room, where he is surrounded by over-the-top extracts of supermarket atmosphere, oriented on holland’s biggest shopping chain albert heijn. The installation consists out of 4 speakers playing a loop of typical supermarket noises, a pair of lofi speakers playing typical supermarket music hanging from the top, and 3 fans blowing towards the visitor mixing the smell of baked bread, washing soap and hot sambal olek at the same time.

After being inside for 2 minutes the visitor is led out of the room by an unknown person.
